End of January delivered 9 new lambs to the farm. Happy to report all are doing well. The other high point was that 8 are ewe lambs and 1 ram lamb. Seeing what the months bring as they mature to decide who is going to the fair in August.

I was so surprised and delighted to see the bulbs peeking out of the ground! Spring is here! It has been so cold, wet & soggy for so long that just seeing these daffodils working hard to show that its the time of renewal and brighter days to come… and I do mean brighter, I am so tired of darkness morning and night.
With just a few sprinkles on Sat we tilled the garden to prep for this years adventure. Starts are growing in the house but there was also some select starts at the feed store that just called our name. With beautiful sunshing all day Sunday the bee population was busy. The apple trees were full of Mason, Honey & Bumble bees. When I checked the Mason bee houses in the morning before turning out the horses I could see 3 tubes with a bee snoozing, waiting for warmer rays. When I checked at dinnertime 3 tubes were mudded over. The older holes in the barn front are busy with activity too but it’s good to see some are using the tubes.
